Garbage Pickup

For information on what is safe to put down the drain, see this pamphlet.

Garbage Day

Effective March 26th 2020, Thursday is garbage and recycling day.  Garbage is collected weekly while recycle is collected every other week.  Garbage and recycle should be placed at the curb by 6:00am.  Garbage can be put out the night before and empty containers need to be brought in (hidden from front view) by noon on Friday.

If your trash or recycling was not picked up or you have questions regarding your solid waste service you can contact the city Utility Department at 512-272-5555 ext. 1

Holidays

Trash will not be picked up on the following holidays; New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The City of Manor and Waste Connections renegotiated their agreement which includes the Travis County MUD 2/ShadowGlen subdivision.  A change was necessary to 1) keep the rate you pay from increasing, 2) provide for a safer collection system, and 3) continue to provide a high level of service to you.  The following took effect January 1, 2020..

Garbage

Waste Connections will only collect waste that is inside the container with the container lid closed.  Do not over fill the container.  To get the most out of your cart volume please crush, fold, or compact items before placing them in the cart.  Brush must be placed completely inside the cart for the regular weekly waste collection.

Recycle

Recycle containers are available free of charge, maximum one per residence.

Recycle services currently include:

  • Newspapers
